de Blasio being loud and interrupting people, just like any good new yorker

Truth... even my Mother who despises DJT but grew up in the Central Atlantic region as WWII "shore leave baby", likes that style of Political figure that will throw rhetorical punches with maybe with a pair of brass knuckles on to make a point.

Ton of folks out West and parts of the Midwest, and much of the South find that a "turn-off", but especially in a DEM prim debate might well be considered "rude" considering it is a national primary election.... nut hell, at least he's being talked about esp within one of the largest Media markets, home to major national media outlets, in the US.

How anybody can say Warren was a winner tonight is beyond me.  Those people must have just wrote her in as a winner before the debate and then didn't watch.

I have no doubt that a lot of headlines were pre-written.

the biggest loser for sure was N. B. C. Cameraman, just a bad performance all around, as well as N. B. C. Microphone, who had an unfortunate gaffe

A smashing final statement, finally. We still can grow and move on from this, Warren still has the momentum.
Don't agree. I think Tulsi and Castro are gonna take some of her support after this debate and I think Gabbard could rise into mid single digits.
Warren has the most solidified base of support in this race, so while there will be a curve down, this debate won’t bring us down.

I don't think shes gonna collapse or anything I just see Castro and Gabbard rising in the field.

Didn't watch any of the debate but looking through this thread I'm glad that everybody was simultaneously impressed by the candidate they already liked and thought the candidates they already didn't like did horribly. Smiley

Overall this debate probably won't move the polls, Gabbard and Castro did well but will still be overshadowed, O'Rourke was already in low single digits and Warren had an opportunity to move into the top tier with Bernie and Biden but stumbled

I don't buy that. Sanders has a pretty clear floor of around 15% (which may also be his ceiling, but that's a separate issue). Warren has just recently shot up from the single digits, and while she is certainly doing wonderful now, I don't see her support being nearly as deep (yet, anyway).

De Blasio surprised me tonight. O'Rouke did not do well in that exchange with Castro.

If you really believe this debate will result in Warren's standing shifting for the worse you're kidding yourself. She did what she needed to do tonight.

Beto's "Vote for me because I'm vanilla Obama" crap isn't going to work. Biden is still #1 for me right now, but Klobuchar is #2.

He was way out of his league. Not that smart, not that articulate, didn't propose much, and basically pivoted everything to standing up for people who live near the Great Lakes. His only mildly impressive moment was when he criticized Gabbard's excessive anti-interventionism.

Uh his complete dismantling by Gabbard might have had something to do with that.

I'm starting to think the only reason I liked Ryan's performance is because he pandered to rust belt people like myself.

Ryan mixing up the Taliban and al-Qaeda was pretty darn bad.
