With all due respect, speaking in Spanish during this debate doesn't impress me.

I think Castro probably "won" overall in that he likely helped himself change his trajectory the most.

The fact that we are debating who won when everyone expected Warren to sweep easily isnt a good sign.

Klobuchar listens to people when she's throwing things at them

Castro: My name is Julian Castro and I'm running for president. Crowd goes crazy. SMH

It's Miami and tickets were around $1750, so it might be a pretty friendly audience for him as a result.

To be fair that wasn't a realistic expectation given that even Geoff Diehl got the better of her in their debates

I don't think Cory Booker has a single hair on his entire body.

Warren might be popular but she's competing against multiple rival candidates who share a very similar platform. It would be tough for her to stand out if the Democrat primary candidates are a dime a dozen.

Warren gets to close? They definitely were favoring her. Maybe just because of poll standings.

They ordered the closings by poll standings. Outside to center.

MY TAKES

WINNERS:
1) Castro: He just did good.
2) de Blasio: He did good and basically yeeted Beto off the stage
3) Gabbard: She definitely won against Tim Ryan

LOSERS:
1) Beto: He fell flat, the Spanish was cringey, and he got destroyed by de Blasio of all people
2) Ryan: His gaffe on 9/11 hurt bad. He spent the rest of the time basically just talking about "elites" and "working class people" and "Youngstown Ohio"
3) Delaney: "I was promised I would get time, and I've had no time, where's my time?"

NEUTRAL:
1) Warren: She didn't get as much time as she honestly should have, but she did fine when she did have time.
2) Klobuchar: She had some good moments, closest to winners list of these.
3) Booker: Basically just OK.
4) Inslee: He is the closest to the losers list here, but overall he did ok I guess

A smashing final statement, finally. We still can grow and move on from this, Warren still has the momentum.

I was most impressed with Castro.
But I seriously doubt any of these candidates that only had 1-3% are going to rise to a higher tier and have a chance.

Don't agree. I think Tulsi and Castro are gonna take some of her support after this debate and I think Gabbard could rise into mid single digits.

How anybody can say Warren was a winner tonight is beyond me.  Those people must have just wrote her in as a winner before the debate and then didn't watch.
