It's really remarkable that only few Americans reacted to last year's Men's World Cup, whereas women's soccer makes y'all partake in discussions about it.

All the more so since it's the only sport that's true of with the possible exception of tennis. Even at the NCAA level I don't hear nearly as much about women's sports as about men's.

Well yeah, we didn't make it!  Lol.  In 2014, the World Cup was actually followed really well in the USA - going strictly from anecdotal evidence of my own experience at watching it at bars and seeing other people's snap stories from other areas of the country.  Either way, a massive increase in interest from 2006.
