Option 2. I'll definitely tune in if the US does well again, and if the US doesn't do well again I might watch some anyway.

Unlike their brethren, your women do outstandingly well when it comes to soccer.
Having won thrice and getting a medal each time since first Women's World Cup is impressive.

Maybe and No.

The last time I watched this was in 2011, when we arrived in NYC, checked in at our hostel which had a broken AC while outside it had 110°F or something and Japan just won the thing.

Yes, although it's only because we know the United States will be successful.

You hosted the Woman's World Cup the last time. You are reported to have done an amazing job. 👍🏻

Nope. Going to the Nations League finals in Portugal next week, and then I don't give a crap about sports until the Tour de France starts.

I'll probably watch a few. Only soccer I've seen live has been a few games of a NASL/USL franchise, the Tampa Bay Rowdies, though if the Chicago Fire end up moving to Bronzeville I'll almost certainly go more often.

I'll be watching the Cricket World Cup. I might pop over to Paris next weekend, though.

It's really remarkable that only few Americans reacted to last year's Men's World Cup, whereas women's soccer makes y'all partake in discussions about it. Tongue

Yes, I'll be watching. No, I don't have any tickets, but I did go to the final in 2015, which was one of the all-time great sports events of my life, so I kind of have my fill in that regard.

All the more so since it's the only sport that's true of with the possible exception of tennis. Even at the NCAA level I don't hear nearly as much about women's sports as about men's.

Well yeah, we didn't make it!  Lol.  In 2014, the World Cup was actually followed really well in the USA - going strictly from anecdotal evidence of my own experience at watching it at bars and seeing other people's snap stories from other areas of the country.  Either way, a massive increase in interest from 2006.

Probably not....I'm not interested in soccer.  I do hope the US can bring home the title, though.  Smiley
