Obviously, it's a very pressing issue that low-population states have disproportionately less of a voice in this chamber than states with lots of people. This silences the low-population states and is an outrage to democracy! I don't like that my party is not in control of this particular body so that means there is obviously something systemically wrong with it and it should be abolished because I don't like it!

Republicans projecting their interchangability of feelings and logic onto Democrats doesn't extend across the threshold between their delusions and reality. This isn't NeverNeverLand.

Why should my vote as CA resident count less than the vote of a redneck in WV?

We can solve it by merging Utah, Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Kansas and Nebraska so they have one big state, also solves the senate problem too!

Only in America is it considered controversial that everyone's vote be worth the same

Yes, a vote in Wyoming is worth more than a vote in California because such has been ordained by God and the Wisdom of the FoundersTM. You have owned the libs with the depth of your insight. Leftism destroyed. How will we ever stand against such staggering intellect?

I'd only merge ID & WY and the Dakotas.

And admit DC and PR as states, potentially Guam. The first option still adds up to 50 states, so the flag remains unchanged.

So true. You can lose the PV by 10% and still end up with a majority in the state legislature. See PA state election 2018. That's crazy.

Merge all the tiny states so they have big populations.

Don't bother stooping to their level. They might be annoying, but the Abolish-The-Senate crowd are literally powerless. Ignore them.

I will add that your argument is a particular fail because it's self-defeating. This is literally the definition of democracy, not an outrage to it.

Mega fail.

I would support allowing the D.C. Representative to be a full voting member of the House. That is a bad example of taxation without representation that should be addressed and imo is a legitimate problem in the House.

Empty land should have more representation in Congress than it already disproportionately does, you’re right. It’s certainly far more important than people.

It's by definition not disproportionate.

Increase the size of the House to 500, & elect it with MMP.

Also...

Obviously introduce Proportional Representation to at least stop widespread gerrymandering.

Honestly, the fact that the right no longer even tries to hide its contempt for democracy is concerning.

Well, that takes care of the House problem.

...but seriously. If they had their say, they would basically make it that you had to apply to vote and then have a nomination process very similar to what they have in Iran.
