Also, a universal right to desertion and prohibition on conscription should be codified into international law.

People under the age of 26 should not be allowed to join the military.

You have some of the strangest views I’ve ever heard of.

Where did you come up with this arbitrary age?

*TRENDS* and *SWINGS* are only so important and only deserve so much attention ... definitely less than the 2020 board spammers give them.  If a county/state voted  for a party, they voted for that party.  Period.  Wait until the place flips to give it so much attention.  “RI might be competitive soon!”  Kay, well it’s not.  Not yet.  So give it a rest, lol.

How dare you! Don't you know 2016 trends are set in stone? You know Trump will carry Athens County, OH while losing Delaware County, OH because of how fast these TRENDS are!!! Texas is Safe D in 2020! Rhode Island is Safe R in 2020!

College should not, under any circumstance, be free.

And I say this as someone who graduated with $23,000 in student loan debt, and is now paying an additional $30,000 out of my own pocket for my masters degree.

I agree, free college=higher taxes for families like mine

Cory Gardner has a feasible, but tough path to victory in 2020

Also Roy Moore, if nominated, would beat Doug Jones in 2020

Also Michael Grimm, is literally the only candidate who can lose to Max Rose

Bernie Sanders is likelier to crash and burn as a candidate than Joe Biden

Texas is not significantly more likely to flip Democratic in 2020 than South Carolina and Alaska are.

Yes it is, but none of the three will flip.

Texas is more likely, but not significantly more likely to flip than South Carolina and Alaska. Sabato is certainly unjustified to put Texas in Lean R and the other 2 all the way in Safe R.

I don't like the terms "culturally Southern," "culturally Midwestern," "culturally Northeastern," etc. when describing characteristics of a given place. It's narrow-minded to pigeonhole an entire region based on stereotypic notions of what said region's culture consists of.

I don't think so, those are reasonable ratings. You could make the case that Alaska is only Likely R because it's very elastic and swingy, but certainly South Carolina isn't flipping unless the Democrat actually does win the NPV by 12+ points.

Best first steps: Eliminate all government loans for students. Allow any student loans to be forgiven in bankruptcy.

Mucarsel-Powell is more vulnerable than most people think and will be up for another close GE in 2020.

Shalala wins by less than Mucarsel Powell

Powell wins by double digits, Shalala by mid to high single digits

Mucarsel-Powell is more vulnerable than most people think and will be up for another close GE in 2020.

Only if Curbelo or Tomas Regalado run for the seat, Miami R's have a strong down-ballot bench, can't be that hard to find someone to run against her

I think even a decent rando like Irina Vilarino would hold her to a 3-4 point victory, this seat is just so much more GOP downballot, and I feel like even running a decent Cubano or Cubana American businessman or businesswoman like Vilarino would be a really good fit and make it close.

If more people get a higher education, it will benefit those who do not, since it will result in more innovation and advances in society.
