Even if Nader gets only 1%, he'll do twice as well as anyone else.

The thing is. Nolan and Peroutka are on 4 times has many ballots as Nader. Sure Nader has more press attention, but if people can't even vote for him, what good is it?

Nolan.  He's the only one who isn't a religous fanatic or a socialist psycho.

In the end, Nader will be on plenty of ballots.  Not all of them, but enough to get more than the 0.5% that the Libertarians pull in every time.

Isn't he a convicted murderer who took up arms against the United States?

(Probably makes him more qualified than most, I'll grant you, but still...)

The Libertarians never seem to get above 0.5% or whatever their average is. They may be on the ballots, but they're not at all popular.

Why did you leave out the Green party?

The delegate race is still too close to call, Cobb (the Green front runner) has a 30 delegate lead over Camejo (2nd Place), and there are still about 70 delegates to be awarded. So either one could win. Ralph Nader is in 3rd place by the way, the Greens just don't give up. The Reform Party has Nader on the delegate count, too.

Judging from this poll, 5 Libertarians are fooling themselves.

In 2000, Nader got more votes in California than the Libertarians got in the entire country.

It won't be close.

There are two factors involved:

First, Nader doesn't really want to be on the November ballot but instead wants to force Kerry to adhere to the left.  As such, he may pull out of the race.

Second, if Bush is poised to win big, then a lot more people than you suspect will probably vote for the Libertarian candidate.

But I think the libs will poll better this year, and Nader won't be on the ballot enough...
