Gates/Gates.

Gates has the necessary financial resources in order to wage an effective and successful independent campaign.

Yes, that is one of his big perks, which is why Perot was able to make such a large impact when he ran.  Most third-party candidates these days are well-meaning individuals but lack the financial resources to compete.  One of the major flaws in our election process.

Gates/Hillary

My feeling is that Gates would be pretty decent as President and I'm no fan of Frist or Clinton.

If Perot could get 20% and make many states won with less than 30% of the vote, what makes you think the same could not happen with Gates?

I made this map with a more centralized support for Gates, the American Northwest.  But it is possible that he could get support all over the country.
