I know I'd like to ask about their Syria policies.

"Twenty-five years after Farmer v. Brennan, and 16 years after PREA, prisoners are still being assaulted behind bars, both by staff and by other inmates. Such prisoners often emerge from these experiences bitter and hardened, rather than rehabilitated. What action would you take to address this problem?"

I would ask them which states they would focus on and which they think they can win.

Pretty much nothing. The open positions candidates take during the race are next to irrelevant - I'm sure, of Biden, Buttgeig, and Beto, at least one will end up endorsing single-payer or loan forgiveness or something during the campaign. None of them would even attempt to follow through.

To Biden: "How do you explain your past right-wing votes/views, and how can you expect to win over minorities in the primary or general election once they learn about them?"

To Sanders: "Who would be your top picks for SoS and SoD?"

To Harris: "Why did you run as a 'tough on crime' candidate in your campaign for Attorney General of California? how do you explain the seeming disconnect between wanting to help disadvantaged people and locking them up when you had the chance to?"

To Buttigieg: "Would you push for Medicare for All, and what are your views on Syria?"

To O'Rourke: "Why have you flip-flopped on M4A?"

To all the others: "why are you running... you don't seriously think you're going to win, do you?"
