This is an extremely stupid example of the so-called “Mandela effect”.

Berenstain is spelled in an ‘abnormal way. OF FYCKING COURSE people would “remember” it using the “normal” way people would spell that sort of name. Also iirc the TV show’s pronouncistion sounds closer to the incorrect/“normal” way.

I don't mean to sound like a wise-ass but I've always known it to be Berenstain. I remember reading about how the authors (who the bears share their names with) were Christians and that stuck out to me that they obviously wouldn't have "stein" in their name.
