I believe Omar used those words as a ham handed way of expressing that as far as Muslims as individuals, the content of the act was irrelevant in making determinations about their personal guilt, since they had nothing to do with it.

That being said, this IS a powerful ad, and a disinterested observer who wrongly inferred what the ad is implying might reasonably be upset. It's effective because is no name calling against Omar, just juxtapositions of footage. And the Democrats fantasizing about violence against the congresswoman and her family because she was caught in a political gaffe are offputting.
It's really concerning just how much one person's life is more important to some Dems than the lives lost that day.

If worst came to be, Omar's family would have a very strong case against Trump and the Republican Party. We got to the point where one of the two major political parties being held liable for the murder of a Congresswoman is within the realm of plausibility.

LOL such hyperbole. This is just a political campaign attack ad, one of many and Trump has been campaigning for re-election since inauguration.
She had a death threat less than a week ago, and the president is stoking the flames here. He's literally choosing politics over her physical safety. Trump is proving to everybody that he's willing to risk her life in order to get / keep votes and support.

Trump is NOT responsible for death threats by other people, unless you can point to something specific here or elsewhere where he's specifically inciting violence against her.

Former presidents and others of high importance have received death threats. Rep. Omar isn't the first one nor would she be the last. Of course, her life needs to be protected. However, she should have given a thought to the lives lost in 9/11 before spouting off on her nonsense.
There are one hundred different ways to calmly disagree or criticize Omar without twisting the context of what she said into a propaganda attack ad that makes her look like a monster, less than a week after her death threat. You KNOW this. You are playing stupid to seem like Trump is innocent here, and you should be ashamed of yourself. I won't call you a disgusting person, but your actions on this message board tonight are certainly disgusting.

Sunken cost fallacy.

Those lives are lost and we aren't getting them.back. All we can control now is saving lives and preventing deaths in the present and future.

Lest we forget that Trump twice asked someone to shoot Hillary Clinton and conservative land laughed it up saying it was a joke. Incitement is very real and if someone that Trump has constantly attacked gets hurt then he will be partially to blame. Words do count.

With that said, this is the man who was glad that 9/11 happened because it meant that his building would be the tallest. Maybe someone should put that in an ad.

Why can't Omar just focus on the needs of her district like the other freshmen instead of being in front of the cameras and magazines? Be more like Katie Hill, Lauren Underwood, and Lucy McBath and stop trying to be a celebrity.

She’s a justice Democrats aka part of the TYT caucus that’s ehy

I see almost all of the Democratic candidates for President have received their talking points. Daring to criticize the bungling words and inept follow-up response of a Congressman is now "incitement to violence".

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I'll keep that in mind the next time a Democratic politician criticizes President Trump or another Republican politician.

Or we can all be adults and realize the First Amendment gives us the absolute right to criticize our elected representatives. But many Democrats don't seem to believe that anymore.

We are dealing with what the President of the United States of America is saying, not just any "politician."
And to describe the Orange Clown and his words as "adult" in nature, is hilarious.

How many death threats do you suppose President Trump gets in a day? Are you and Democrats "stoking the flames" and "choosing politics over his physical safety" whenever you dare question his words, deeds or authority? If not, why not?

The First Amendment applies to all politicians, too - including the President of the United States.

By dumb Democrat logic, you're inciting violence against the President of the United States by calling him "the Orange Clown". Stop criticizing him now - or else.

See how that works?

It's not about criticism of a politician. It's about his whole Muslim baiting schtick that he has been going on about since 2016. His being the biggest icon for the sort of politics that got 50 Muslims killed in New Zealand.

I'm not expecting a serious answer because there isn't one. What you and many of your Democratic friends want is a double standard - one where Democrats are free to criticize the dumb things Republicans say, but Republicans can't criticize the dumb things Democrats say because "incitement to violence" or "racism" or "sexism" or "anti-Muslim" or some other -ism.

It doesn't and can't work that way.

This is all about criticism of a dumb thing Omar said. You don't get a "get out of criticism about dumb things you said" card because of your religion or political affiliation. It doesn't and can't work that way.
