Many cultures are too broken to do it properly.  It's not at all a coincidence that these same cultures are bigger bigots than average and hate women too.

Every human deserves to life free in a liberal democracy, unfortunately most humans live in sh**t holes surrounded by sh**tty humans.  It was getting better and I think the overall trends are still positive, but it's nowhere near as positive as it was when you punks were born.  Whatyoudo?!

Democracy is something you eern throught fighting for it and protecting it. This has nothing to do with "deserving".

It’s hard for countries to not be in a ****** situation, like the Honduran people have struggled to move against, if their democratic leaders are removed by coups and receive support for maintaining power from the neighbors a couple blocks over north.

Deserve? Yeah, I believe most humans are inherently good enough to "deserve" it. Ready for democracy? No, not yet.

A country should vote on whether it wants democracy. So, in the sense that such a vote itself would be democratic, I support the concept for all nations, but I won't get into the question of whether anyone deserves democracy. Democracy has it's flaws, but any other system is worse.

A liberal, atomized, constitutional democracy founded in universal human rights and modern secularism is the only acceptable form of government anywhere and everywhere.

The entire world deserves it, for as Churchill observed others as having said, "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others."

However, not all parts of the world are capable of it. Even our own democracy did not arise instantly, so expecting others to immediately adopt something similar is implausible.

To claim that human rights are derived solely from a culturally-defined deity which comes in any of a million different forms is to surrender to particularism at best and theocracy at worst.

“Religious views are culturally-derived, but human rights are not.”
