Its a very close call.

Both lost in every-County landslides by 2 on 1 level margins in states that were quite favorable to their party, and in years where their party was making most of the gains at that level.

I guess I would say Jim Keet because he also cost him party control of BOTH chambers of the state legislature in the process of his landslide loss that never should have even been a loss to begin with, while Jay Gonzales did not cost his party control of either chamber of the state legislature.

Neither because both of those races were safe for the incumbent

How is losing an R-trending swing state by <1% in a special election embarrassing?

If we're going for WI: It wasn't a landslide, but MD-GOV 2014. What a pleasant surprise.

Democrats were consistently over performing greatly in specials in other states?

Even on the same night, the Dems flipped PA-SD-37 and easily flipped Green Bay mayor.

Because of how horrible a candidate Hagedorn was; we really had no business losing that election.

Massachusetts is Massachusetts — it will always elected Republican governors to serve as a defense mechanism against the worst instincts of its overwhelmingly Democratic legislature, especially when they’re as popular and non-controversial as Baker.

There is no way a state as right-wing as Arkansas should’ve been sending a Democrat to the Senate (which is more partisan than the governor’s mansion) in 2010.

Vitter was a terrible candidate, abandoned by prominent Republicans, like Jay Dardenne, but his margin was embarassing and probably played a factor in him not running for re-election in 2016
