I must say, Warner's starting to warm on me.  He's starting to compete with Bayh for my first preference.

Governors are more electable than Senators. I favor Warner over Bayh.

I'd settle for either Bayh or Warner - but my preference is unlikely to change as yet. What I can say, however, is that if Bayh hadn't been a former governor, I wouldn't have even considered him. And I've been singing Bayh's praises more or less since the day the George W Bush was re-elected

Warner does have the southern governor advantage, however, and given the anti-Washington mood that gives him an advantage over Bayh for now. It is perhaps the stronger basis of Bayh's demographic support, which gives him the edge with me for the time being

We'll just have to wait and see how things pan-out in the mid-terms and beyond. I certainly wouldn't want either Bayh or Warner to be some sacrificial lamb, which is what they could very well be if the GOP nominated John McCain. Both Bayh and Warner have youth on their side and need not necessarily throw their hat into the ring in 2008

Something small like 10-20 bucks.  Just to let him know people are excited about a potential white house bid.

I actually did that with Al Sharpton last year.

Literally, I sent him my two cents' worth.

I bet the paperwork for my donation cost them more than that...which is exactly what I was hoping for.

hahaha .  . . good man.  Smiley  I've never donated anything to a political candidate, even when I was backing Perot (not that he needed campaign funding).  I just don't see the point in giving money to candidates.

What about local candidates?  25 bucks can go a long way for them.

Correct.  But a PAC may be different.

Possibly, but I still do believe in funding them.  (Of course, I don't trust most politicians, even the ones I like.)  hehehe
