If the GOP launches any investigations, Democrats should frame them for what they truly are -political score-keeping and partisan witch-hunts.  It's not about finding the truth, it's about vengeance.  There is no need for any Democrat to lend bipartisan legitimacy to any of it:

Investigations against the other party are about finding truth. Investigations against my party are partisan gamesmanship.

By all means, go after Hillary(who is not running) or Obama(a popular former president). I'm sure it'll do wonders to win over swing voters. /s

Its incredibly short sighted and will only serve to provide red meat for the base while alienating everybody else.

I mean, Mueller's investigation got started by the incredible amounts of shady behavior by the Trump campaign and Donald Trump's efforts to end the investigation in 2017, so that is really on him. These revenge investigations Trump & Co seem to want have always been just that. The fact that they spin fiction to justify it doesn't change anything.

So they’re just going to pretend they didn’t already investigate this stuff when Nunes was chair?

LMAO.
The GOP on the Hill need to make-up their minds.
They demand that Dem House committees cease on all future related trump-Russia investigations, but they will gladly start their own in the Senate.
Classic.

You need to make up your mind.  Do we investigate foreign influence in our election?  We know nothing will come from Trump, but we already have the Ukrainian AG looking into Hillary.  Seems Dems might have committed the same criminal acts they tried to pin on Trump.

If there was in fact extensive wrongdoing by both campaigns in 2016, or extensive wrongdoing by both party apparatuses today, then obviously it should come out and the American people deserve to know about it, but let's not pretend that's what the elected oligarchs in the Republican Party are motivated by.

LOL.
Get off your "Ukrainian AG" bandwagon. You trumpists fall for the worse stories, and then to top it off you place your entire souls on these bizarre "outside" individuals/institutions.
Who in the US is going to give a s**t about what a "Ukrainian AG" has to say? You might want to add to your clown show and start shouting to Atlas about how the Mongolian's government AG is also going to investigate the US Democratic Party.

I know, right!?

Let them investigate.  Hopefully it takes up all their time.

The timing for this all could be ironic.  Especially if people begin to think everything dealing with corruption is fake news.

It's still good faith to see circumstantial evidence as valid and to see an ambiguous cover letter as something other than exculpatory.

Remember: Trump took his Oath of Office in bad faith. His entire time in office has been unconstitutional, in violation of the Emoluments Clause.

It's a relief that the Russian conspiracy to subvert our elections will be deemphasized from the front of the headlines. The way Trump has run government has been given a pass because there are only so many hours in day. Now that the news hopefully moves on to covering his department appointees and the awful and corrupt jobs they've been doing, people will see what kind of government Trump is running.

Republicans' entire existence is based on punishing those who don't agree with them. I wish more Americans understood that.

By the way, I don't even know what they want payback for, they won in the end. Nothing is ever enough for these derelicts.
