Will he be able to survive 2020, or will he finally be taken down? I say he survives by a couple thousand votes and under 1% mov, pure tossup, and he could easily lose.

No he will lose by 5-7, WV is gone for Democrats (including Joe Manchin, who will lose by 10-15 in 2024), WV is Safe R, and people like Perdue and Manchin would be smart to just retire, before the voters send them into retirement

I doubt Manchin even runs in 2024.

I agree. He almost lost to Morrissey. Even an average candidate would have beaten him. Morrissey was just below average

Not only that, but he didn't even want to run in 2018. Democrats had to beg and plead for him to and he still almost retired anyway. It's not exactly a secret that Manchin hates being in Congress. Not to mention he's getting up there in age.

There is no chance in hell that John Perdue wins re-election in 2020. Riley Moore, nephew to Senator Moore Capito and grandson of famous WV Governor Arch Moore has already declared to run against him and will be an unstoppable force, especially in a year with Trump/Capito on the ballot.

I could actually see Capito doing slightly worse than 2014 coz she hasn't been a rabid Trump Fanatic and she tried to save WV's healthcare and didnt want a straight repeal of Obamacare.

Depends on the GOP candidate I'd say. If they pull out another useless glob of grease like Morrisey then Perdue is in with a real shot. An actual candidate? I doubt it.

Off-topic, but what is so hard about saying "cuz" instead of "coz".

With Trump on the ballot, I just can't see a path to victory for downballot Democrats. Even if the candidate is Morrissey-tier, this starts out as Likely R at the very best.

I'll make it easy right here: the only statewide Democrat in West Virginia with a chance of winning is Joe Manchin if he runs for Governor.

John Perdue is Treasurer, not Auditor, FWIW.

It's possible that he could win.

I'm predicting that Justice will be surprisingly unpopular, and I don't believe his re-election will be easy.
