Cool, she's going to lose a second time if she makes it out of the primary.

Yeah, the Martha Coakley comparisons do seem somewhat accurate (even if she did win the most prominent one).

Handel winning the primary would probably increase Dem odds of holding the seat at this point.

McBath won by one percent, so it seems like a good race for Republicans.

Do trends not matter at all to you?

This district went from Romney +28 to Trump +2 in 4 years, and it went easily for Stacey Abrams in the Gubernatorial race last year as well.

GA-6 is exactly the kind of place that "values incumbency", for lack of a better phrase. The fact that Handel lost in the first place was a testament to the demographic shift, climate and her own personal failings; even in a good climate for the GOP, it'll be hard for them to win back this one.

McBath would have to actively alienate a chunk of voters - and it's not like given the socioeconomic makeup of the district that there are any low-info, low-propensity GOP voters remaining to be tapped en masse. Dems, on the other hand...

I mean, I wouldn't be so sure. It won't be easy for McBath to hold on. She won by about a point in 2018.

You need to honestly ask yourself if Trump is going to win this district again after it went for a liberal black woman by 3%
SnowLabrador is a notorious concern troll, I remember he thought Tammy Baldwin would lose.

She's probably lose our best candidate, and if she can make Dems spend money here of all places instead of on Peterson, Horn, Torres Small, Brindinsi, Rose, Cunningham, Van Drew, Rouda, etc., we have a chance to take some of the aforementioned seats

I don't understand this weird line of thinking that there's this finite amount of resources to spend on House races. There really isn't in this day and age.

Democrats spent millions making sure Jennifer Wexton would win by 12 points instead of 10 points. Meanwhile they could've used that money on triaged "no hope" candidates like Gina-Ortiz Jones and Kara Eastman to push them over the finish line.

Are you telling me that Donald Trump did not have +13 Approval in a Clinton +3 district.

Not sure why she wants to go through this again. There’s a reason why Woodall isn’t seeking re-election.
