The NDP got stomped in Quebec in 2019, but even after that wipeout there was still a small number of ridings that weren't necessarily total lost causes. Are they trying to get the ex-MPs to run again or otherwise looking like they'll make any sort of effort in them, or has the whole province outside of Boulerice's seat been written off for the foreseeable future?

Does anyone here know if anybody has tried to map the results of the last Quebec election onto the federal constituencies? I'm curious about a few things.

It remains very telling that the Canadian political establishment and media as well as federal Green Party voters only noticed the federal Green Party was a joke when May, who does not appear to be a bad person but definitely has crankish tendencies and has an obvious case of I Alone Can Solve This and is happy to encourage personality-cult politics as a result, was replaced by a black Jewish woman.

It's a total mystery why recent New Brunswick elections have trended towards increasingly ugly levels of ethnic polarisation when this guy can be Premier propped up by a party that runs on 'French-speakers are why you can't get an ambulance', isn't it?

Will Cardy try to join the Greens or Liberals next? :-P
I understand there's a vacancy at the head of the NDP again.

Contrary to breathless Twitter predictions, I doubt anyone who wasn't already likely to vote Green over NDP is going to take up Appadurai (who couldn't even win a seat in Vancouver against a housing speculator) as a cause célèbre, but the chaotic and panicky handling of this still bodes poorly for the Eby premiership.
