Gravel and Kucinich were the only decent Democrats running in 2008. We have quite a few decent ones this time, but his voice is still appreciated.

How many candidate are we going to have? 50? 100? At this rate, it wouldn't surprise me if an Atlas member formed an exploratory committee.

The man. The myth. The legend. We are truly blessed by his presence. Children will cry out in the streets in screams of jubilation upon his inauguration. He will usher in an eternal Democratic wave and progressive dominance under his graceful leadership. All detractors will be taken away from their homes and be publicly hanged at the gallows, their corpses left to rot to set an example for all who dare try to oppose our one true leader. One nation. Under Gravel.

http://mikegravel.org/why

"We're not asking for your vote, and we're not planning on contesting any primaries. We're seeking to reach 65,000 donors, qualify for the Democratic debates, and use that platform to issue a critique of American militarism, plutocracy, and inaction on climate.

[...]

After getting in the first two debates and issuing the all-important critique of our destructive American empire, Sen. Gravel would leave the race and endorse the frontrunner among progressive Democrats."

Our future leader is humble enough to let other Democrats/traitors think they have a chance for the throne.

Is that why they elected Sarah Palin and Don Young?

A 90 year old man is unfit to be President, although Gravel has some admirable views, particularly on climate change and foreign policy.

Alaska was much more Democratic when it first became a state.  It had two (2) Democratic Senators; Bob Bartlett and Ernest Greuning, who couldn't stand each other.  Gravel ousted Gruening in the 1968 Democratic Primary.  What's ironic about that is that Gravel, a guy who read the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional Record, primaried a guy who was one of the two (2) Senators (Democrat Wayne Morse of Oregon being the other) to vote against the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which led us into the Vietnam War.  He put his name into nomination for VP at the 1972 Democratic National Convention, but he didn't get very far.

Definitely fake, it appears that his real website is https://mikegravel.com/

The ".org" website was registered yesterday.

Thanks for the most exciting 10 minutes of my day though.

Once again, the wrong libertarian enters the race.  Maybe a constitutional amendment needs to set a maximum age on running for office.  Like 70 or so.

Oh and maybe it should be Grave-L because he's old and libertarian.
