Kemp would have beaten Dukakis in 1988.

I was surprised that Bush didn't pick Kemp as his running mate.

This. Though if Hart keeps his affair hush hush or if Gore or Gephardt emerge as the Democratic nominee, I think either one of them could beat Kemp.
