Who does he take from? Harris? Sanders? People undecided between them?

Yes, because a former three term Congressman who lost a Senate race to one of the most unpopular politicians in the country screams President.

Most polls say Sanders but wouldn't be surprised if he chipped into Harris.

Ted Cruz was saved by the state’s partisan lean. Stop acting like Beto wasn’t an A-list candidate who ran a bold and fearless campaign. Don’t hate because he might take votes from Bernie.

He can get young white progressives. He also has a lane with working class men of color. Bernie lost them handily in 2016 so there’s no loyalty there and Harris has a serious black male problem with her past as a prosecutor for some and flat out misogyny with others. I don’t know who older white voters are going for but he should go after them too.

Beto's performance last year was certainly impressive, but I'm not sure now is the time for him to try to run for higher office. I'm not sure that it's a tactically wise move, either, since if his campaign doesn't take off in a big way, he could hurt his potential further down the road. Running against Cornyn would be tough as well, but I'm not sure he'll get the same kind of energy he could in TX-SEN.

I am tired of this stupid line. Cruz was generally pretty popular in TX.

Worth a try, even though I suspect he'll really angling for vice president. But stranger things have happened, and I certainly think he has a greater chance of winning the nomination than most of the people currently running. I'd probably place him either 3rd or 4th behind, in no particular order, Biden, Sanders, and Harris.

Will be very interesting to watch his fundraising total when he first gets in, should give us some indication as to his strength.

Remember that this forum really underestimated Beto in 2018 and I wouldn’t be surprised if y’all’re doing it again this year.

Yes, because a former three term Congressman who lost a Senate race to one of the most unpopular politicians in the country screams President.

Yes, because one of the least effective senators from one of the whitest, smallest states who lost a primary to one of the most unpopular politicians in the country does scream president?

He needs to stand-down and stop taking votes from Bernie. The nerve of him being the John Edwards to Wall Street Kamala's 2008 Obama.

Beto had brogressive credentials until he was a threat to St. Bernard. I’ll never forget Shadows proclamation that Beto was the most progressive politician in the country. Now he’s a right wing neoliberal cuck.

Random question, but how do I add a photo to my signature? I can’t seem to find out how.

If this actually happens the board will be flooded with negative threads about O'Rourke.
