Hoping it's not a snoozefest as per recent tradition.
The musical numbers should be fine, and the lack of a host could be interesting.

Roma wins Best Picture & Director. It's a model Academy movie.
Rami Malek wins Best Actor.
Glenn Close wins Best Actress.
Mahershala Ali wins Best Supporting Actor.
Regina King wins Best Supporting Actress.
Black Panther wins Best Costume Design.
Vice wins Best Makeup & Editing.
And Spider-Man better win Best Animated Film.

I’m still mad at the Academy Awards for not giving anything to Death of Stalin, Ianucci’s crown jewel.

Best Picture: Black Panther
Best Director: Spike Lee
Best Actor: Rami Malek
Best Actress: Lady Gaga
Best Supporting Actor: Adam Driver
Best Supporting Actress: Regina King
Best Adapated Screenplay: BlacKkKlansman
Best Animated: Spider-Man

I don’t know enough about the rest to say. If Malek doesn’t win, I will be very surprised.

The Academy was once again playing it safe with Green Book, but what else is new?

I probably would have picked The Favourite, Roma, A Star Is Born, and BlacKkKlansman over Green Book.

These were my predictions for the major categories:

Best Picture: I picked 'The Favourite.'
Best Director: I picked Alfonso Cuaron.
Best Actor: I picked Christian Bale.
Best Actress: I picked Olivia Colman.
Best Supp. Actor:  I picked Richard E. Grant.
Best Supp. Actress: I picked Regina King.
Best Animated Feature: I picked 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.'

Four out of seven. Not bad, I guess.
