Once again, CNN proves that they have learned nothing from 2015-2016. Why did Schultz get a townhall? They gave this egotistical moron free air time just like they did with Trump.

“I don’t see color” means I don’t want to talk about race and systemic prejudice and bias with you negroes, now leave me alone while I continue to do nothing.

Is America ready for a colorblind president? Personally I’m not sure I can trust someone who cannot differentiate between red and blue to have the nuclear codes.

Roll Eyes  The post that people are empty-quoting here sums it up pretty well.

Take one look at Howard Schultz and say with a straight face you'd expect him to say anything different.

While I have always found the phrase "I don't see colour" pretty stupid, I can't say I disagree with the sentiment

If CNN is going to give him a town hall they need to give all the candidates a town hall.

Has Schultz even seen a person of color in his Starbucks residence?

This is what happens when powerful white people don't understand the estimating of their privilege.

"I don’t see color" means "I don't treat people differently based on their race."  It doesn't even preclude an acknowledgement of widespread racism or even personal implicit bias if you believe in that.  I could be wrong, but I think everyone agrees that this idea is the end-goal of improving and correcting race relations: judging people based on their character not the color of their skin.  At worst accepting that argument, Schultz's statement would be naive and premature, he's certainly not a lying secret racist piece of crap who hates black people.

I've seen your posts on this website for a few years now and I have a serious question: do you have any opinions that aren't wrong? Or do you actively try to be the wrongest person in every thread you post in?

You know, he could be telling the truth. Wouldn't surprise me if he's never seen or interacted with someone from a different race in person in his life before.

He has had to interact with black people. He lived in housing projects. He has been interviewed by Oprah, etc.
