Has/did Mike Madigan ever teased/thought/talked about running for House/Senate?

Either while or before (but still in the State House) he was State House Speaker. I’m curious as to how that Primary and/or General Election would go.

Lisa Madigan stayed as AG for the family and didn't run passed that, so thus, ending the family reign, when Mike steps down, eventually, as Speaker.

Well, Lisa Madigan may be done w/ AG, but she's not done w/ politics, though. Hell, when she announced she wasn't running for re-election as AG, she specifically stated "," so she'll probably still run for Governor in 2026 (or 2030 if, down the line, it looks like the GOP is gonna return to the Governor's Mansion post-Pritzker).
