I have asked both candidates which colour they would like to be represented by (because if they both have the same colour that doesn't exactly make it easy to read). With the proviso that neither can be represented by red, as that may lead to bias.
The colours they have requested to be represented by, and will be are as following:
Ontario Progressive will be Orange
Pericles will be Green

As you well know Yankee, our colour is orangered. Now do I think we really need to change our colour to orange because currently us and Labor have almost the same colour? Yes, but that isn't relevant.

I did not say Federalists, I said FMSP.

The color of the Federalist Main Street Partnership is orange (unless it was changed by Fhtagn or LT when I was wasn't looking). Tongue

I gave FMSP orange, because orange was used by the short lived moderate Party in early 2012. Likewise the colors of our other caucuses are based on historical parties within the game who had similar views. The Coolidge Society for instance has the same color as the Whigs and the Non-Interventionist used IB Green.

To be eligible to vote in Labor primaries you must have been registered as a Laborite for at least 7 days. Tack registered as a Laborite only 4 days ago. Ergo, he is not valid.

Also, on a barely related tangent, can I just say that I'm always disappointed that we aren't more inventive with colours. There are so many bbcode colours, yet we only use those that are in the menu. Yet there are so many more.
So given that, for a bit of education for you all, here are all the valid bbcode colours:

aliceblue          antiquewhite          aqua          aquamarine          azure          beige          bisque          black          blue          blueviolet          brown          burlywood          cadetblue          chartreuse          chocolate          coral          cornsilk          crimson          cyan          darkblue          darkcyan          darkgray          darkgrey          darkgreen          darkkhaki          darkmagenta          darkorange          darkorchid          darkred          darksalmon          darkseagreen          darkviolet          deeppink          deepskyblue          dimgray          dimgrey          dodgerblue          firebrick          floralwhite          forestgreen          fuchsia          gainsboro          ghostwhite          gold          goldenrod          gray          grey          green          greenyellow          honeydew          hotpink          indianred          indigo          ivory          khaki          lavender          lawngreen          lemonchiffon          lightblue          lightcoral          lightcyan          lightgray          lightgrey          lightgreen          lightpink          lightsalmon          lightskyblue          lightyellow          lime          limegreen          linen          magenta          maroon          mediumblue          mediumorchid          mediumpurple          midnightblue          mintcream          mistyrose          moccasin          navajowhite          navy          oldlace          olive          olivedrab          orange          orangered          orchid          palegreen          papayawhip          peachpuff          peru          pink          plum          powderblue          purple          red          rosybrown          royalblue          saddlebrown          salmon          sandybrown          seagreen          seashell          sienna          silver          skyblue          slateblue          slategray          slategrey          snow          springgreen          steelblue          tan          teal          thistle          tomato          turquoise          violet          wheat          white          whitesmoke          yellow          yellowgreen

The RPP used darkkhaki and the Whigs used Navy before switching to Purple. The Populares and DR used Teal. Ironically, I think I actually picked the DR's color when they got organized in late 2013. I had also been he one to pick orangered for the Federalists.

So I picked the color for two of the four major parties in 2014.

Granted.
The other thing is that the two main parties have basically the same official colour. We really should change our official colour to orange, as it would really help with lessening confusion.

Most people already color it as orange because they are too lazy to change it to orangered.

Also how is Federalist close to Labor in color?

#Laborisred is a meme not a reality.

A meme they embrace cycle after cycle with banners of plain white text on blood red backgrounds.

Yeah. The two parties are definitely very easy to distinguish. They totally don't have very similar shades of red.

The Atlasian right has historically used a darkened variant of a brighter color. The RPP used darkkhaki and gold, while the Feds have used orangered.

The Far left and radical left have always used either Maroon or dark red. This includes the Chartists, SDP and various others, though the LNF used Pink in 2009. Only the UDL used actual red.

Blue, Purple and Green have appeared as center, center-left or center right party colors. Or as niche party colors like the IB or Peace. Purple was the second color used by the Whigs. The DA used light blue, the Liberals used Blue and the Civic Renewal used blue. Alliance used a shade of Green. The original Progressive Union was Green and the TPP used lime green.

I have never seen a party gain strength by changing its identity either in its name or color. Also we already use orange in many instances and for our moderate faction, the FMSP.
