An “important endorsement” from...an ‘80s-era Congressman? Is he beloved by his constituents or something?

Where tf are the Warren endorsements?
Quote
Chris Giunchigliani, a former member of the Clark County Commission who ran for governor last year as a progressive insurgent, said after attending Ms. Warren’s event in Las Vegas that she was inclined to back the Massachusetts populist. She called Ms. Harris intriguing, but said she had concerns about her record on criminal justice.

Ms. Giunchigliani warned that there could still be resistance in the state to nominating a woman — a subject she said she had discussed with Ms. Warren privately. Nevada, she cautioned, could still be “very sexist” where politics is concerned.

“She’s smart as a whip, but as a woman, that doesn’t always matter,” Ms. Giunchigliani said of Ms. Warren, adding hopefully, “I think 2020 is going to be a different type of campaign here.”

Now, it is true that Joe showed up at many post-2016 elections to help down-ballot Democrats. Wasn't he there for Lamb as well?

Yep. He was there for Doug Jones since the beginning, too.

If John Lewis endorsed her too then it should count for something more than most endorsements. I presume Sanford Bishop and David Scott support Biden.

Lewis already backed Biden.

Oh right, I didn't think that was an endorsement, just a defence.

That is 100% incorrect. He defended him after the segregationist comments that Biden later apologized for, but he has in no way endorsed him. Lame to throw that out there when it's untrue.

That's all it was. He hasn't endorsed anyone.

Not surprising. They have a friendship that goes back to Moulton's grad student days at Harvard's Kennedy School, & McChrystal campaigned for Moulton when he primaried John Tierney.

Tim Ryan wins the endorsement of two Biden ’08 supporters in SC:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/two-longtime-biden-african-american-supporters-s-carolina-defect-tim-n1035106

Quote
Fletcher Smith and Brandon Brown, who played senior roles in Biden's last presidential campaign in 2008, attended a meeting Biden held last month with a small group of African American leaders in Columbia and both told NBC News that he's neglected some relationships in the state.

Biden has consistently lead polls of black voters by wide margins, providing him a crucial foundation of support in the 2020 primary where as many as 1 in 5 voters in next year's primary contests are expected to be black. In South Carolina, African Americans are even more important, since they make up a majority of the Democratic electorate.

Smith, a former state representative, served as South Carolina co-chair for Biden's 2008 campaign and Brown served as the deputy political director. And when Brown ran unsuccessfully for Congress last year, Biden endorsed him by saying, "I have known Brandon for a long time and have seen firsthand Brandon's ability to lead and desire to serve."

But both are set to this weekend to endorse Ryan at events in South Carolina, where the far less well-known Ohio moderate has been quietly working to chip away support from rivals like Biden, who currently holds a large lead in the Palmetto State, according to polls.

I know it says PA but I still thought for a second that this was referring to FL's Patrick Murphy lol
