First the Tarrant County GOP tries to remove a co-chair because he is Muslim and now the Harris County GOP does this. It's almost as if they want to create more trouble for themselves in counties that they are already in trouble in.

They basically got wiped out in the 2018 election.

Harris County used to be one of the only counties in Texas that regularly voted Republican. Now, for the first time since the 1970s or earlier, there is not a single Republican in any countywide office and they got wiped out of judicial offices.

They've clearly decided to turn into a California-style rump party of right-wing fever swamps (or bayous, as would be the case in Harris County).
