After making my previous map I wanted to see who would win between the 2 worst preforming tickets from either party and I used vote share instead of margin for this map

Kerry/Edwards 275 49.6%
McCain/Palin 263 50.4%
I also decided to check out the two best preforming tickets Obama/Biden 2008  vs Bush/Cheney 2004

Obama/Biden 347 52.83%
Bush/Cheney 191 47.16%

The Romney 2012 states are not shocking, but it is interesting that those are the only two.

Speaking of 2012, gold works better on the forum than yellow. Gold isn’t listed as an option, but you can replace yellow with gold in the coding. Smiley
Ah thank you! I fixed it

Decided to do a map comparing the combined vote for "Progressive" (Sanders + Warren + Yang + Gabbard (I know with how Gabbards acted now labeling her as progressive is questionable same for Steyer but she was perceived as part of that wing of the party sorta so whynot) + Steyer)  and " "Moderate" (Biden + Bloomberg + Buttigieg + Klobuchar) Candidates in the primary until Sanders Drops out  I couldn't really figure out how to classify Bennet and Patrick but decided to leave them out of it likely has no Impact either way as they received a very small amount of votes.

Who got a higher raw percentage in each state between McCain 2008 and Trump 2020

Despite Trump losing by 3% less than McCain the results were fairly close its striking to me how similar this map is to the 2016 swing map.

Inspired by these 2 twitter threads of maps

2016 if the popular vote was a 3 way tie between Hillary Clinton Donald Trump And Gary Johnson
Clinton 33% (-15.02) vs Trump 33% (-12.93) vs Johnson (+29.73)

Quite a few states were nearly 3 way ties and Johnson came in second in many states interesting how his coalition compares to Naders and Perots.
One of the coolest results was how Johnson won maine at large despite losing both cds Johnson was a close second in both the first and the second which was enough for him to narrowly carrow the state while losing both CDs.
