Some people are taking this way too seriously. No one cares who Bernie hires for his campaign
Please quote the post where someone said the general public will care. I just see people expressing their displeasure with the hire of a toxic, corrosive, unethical “journalist” just like you all express displeasure in every thread about every non-Bernie candidate. You all are always quick to hand wave stuff he does but want to scrutinize every detail about everybody else.

Bernie: I won't campaign negatively. Also Bernie: I will however let a journalist work for my campaign in secret without disclosing it to readers and voters, while tearing to shreds my opponents with selective and misleading information. Read the article and ask yourself, what kind of candidate would hire somebody like this to be a senior adviser and speechwriter? Someone legitimately interested in moving beyond past grievances and running a positive campaign or nah? If someone has to delete 20,000 tweets before taking a job, maybe don't hire them?
Exactly. It says a lot about his mindset. But the response to every hypocritical thing Bernie does is: Who cares? Meanwhile let’s dissect Kamala’s past sexual history and create a conspiracy theory that Beto’s first day donations were fake. LOL.

The Sanders Derangement Syndrome is reaching new levels.

Remember when Howard Dean says we must appeal to confederates with decals on their trucks of St Andrews flag, that ripped open the civil rights era? We reopening the KGB drama, is a far cry to appealing to minorities and women

I remember when Bernie used to talk about the issues. Now he just talks about how many women work for him and how many Black friends he has. Pathetic pandering crap. No one who hates him is going to give him any credit. Lots of people who like him are turned off by this and going to Yang.

Mate if you're arguing against something, usually it's an indicator one should be for it.

I love how CNN still took the time to write an entire hit peice on him over it.

Well, it was Harry Enten, what do you expect? Anyway, it's pretty much a given that Republicans are going to hate whoever Democrats nominate, meaning that the Democratic candidate will almost certainly have a lukewarm favorability rating overall, regardless of who ends up winning.

It's a shame. CNN seemed to be improving in terms of credibility over the last two years. They're so obviously frightened by a Sanders candidacy due in part to the fact that, like FOX News, they too are millionaires financed by billionaires. They are just more tactful than FOX and cosmetically, care a bit more about the truth than their far-right Murdoch-owned competitor. They are still a corporate news organization with all that entails.

Harris as a candidate is not working out. I think CNN will go all out for Beto because Biden is a paper-tiger & Beto seems to be the only organization who can stop Bernie.

I don't think CNN will like Warren either because her positions of breaking up monopolies  don't go well with CNN.

They've been doing nothing but giving a voice to Trump supporters and pundits, pitching garbage centrism, and treating Trump like tabloid gold instead of the actual danger he is.

DSA National Political Committee was supposed to vote on endorsing Bernie tonight. The vote should be over by now but they still haven't posted the results on their website. The NPC was leaning towards endorsing Bernie but that may have been torpedoed by an open letter from the "DSA Afrosocialist and People of Color Caucus" which called on the NPC not to endorse because of Bernie's refusal to back slavery reparations.

At this point, the DSA is so insane (backing reparations, open borders, prison abolition, police abolition), that it might actually be a good thing for the Bernie campaign not to be endorsed by them.

Okay, the DSA NPC did endorse him after all. They announced it on Twitter but not on their website. Again, not sure whether this is helpful or hurtful at this point. It's interesting in that it shows the more moderate (relatively) faction of the DSA is still clinging to leadership somehow.

lol, as usual, DSA voting was a sh*tshow. The NPC probably voted to postpone making an endorsement but the person chairing the meeting said he "heard more voices" saying not to postpone but there were only 14 people in the room and he didn't actually count the votes. They then voted to endorse and actually did count the votes and it was 10 to 4. They all voted unanimously to call on Bernie to back slavery reparations.

Also in DSA news, I learned that the majority Momentum faction has actually stopped existing, although its former members still control the NPC. The next national convention/NPC election in August will likely be uncontested and won by members of Praxis, which now calls itself the Socialist Majority Caucus. So it's very possible the endorsement by be rescinded in August.

Bernie dwarfed Hillary in crowd sizes and he still got blown out in the primary.

Crowd sizes aren't predictive, but I wish people used that argument consistently.

Bernie is campaigning in the Safe D states, while Beto is campaigning in the swing and sometimes even Likely R states.

Who's a better campaigner?

California is on Super Tuesday and a very expensive state to play in and their Junior Senator is one of his biggest competitors. He should be there. I hope to see Beto there after his official launch next week.

Since it's a primary and one of the top contenders is a Senator from California ignoring the state with the most delegates doesn't seem like a winning strategy. Also last weekend Bernie was in South Carolina, Iowa and New Hampshire, not exactly safe D states.
