Yep.

Well, I haven't actually heard much about the Quebec races. All I know is a bit about Gatineau's race, because it is right across the river, so it's still "local". Apparently it will be a good race. Montreal looks like it will be good too, the mayor vs. the former mayor. If I could speak French, I'd be more helpful, but I'll see what I can do with my basic French knowledge Smiley

Ok, recap:

Montreal's mayor, Gérald Tremblay, was re-elected, defeating the former mayor Pierre Bourque. One of the candidates represented the White Elephant Party.

On city council, Tremblay's party, the Union of Montreal Citizens did very well.

Quebec City's race featured the former mayor of Ste-Foy against a former provincial cabinet minister. It was considered an upset victory, as the former mayor of Sainte-Foy, Andree Boucher only had a budget of $5000, but she opened her home to the public.

Gilles Vaillancourt, mayor of Laval was re-elected with massive majority for the 5th time, defeating an 18-year old college girl.

Sherbrooke's mayor Jean Perreault was re-elected.

Claude Gladu, the right hand man of former mayor Jacques Olivier was elected in Longueuil

And across the river from me, in Gatineau, incumbent mayor Yves Ducharme was given the boot by city councillor Marc Bureau
