Harris asked if it’s defensible to have a system with kids in poverty and multi billionaires at the same time. She didn’t give a simple “no”. I wish she did.

Harris is iffy on Trump’s (alleged) withdrawals from Syria and Afghanistan. Emphasizing we must be “smart” in how we do it. Don’t really like the answer, wish she focused more on getting out being absolutely necessary now. #HarrisTownHall

Kamala’s answer on gun violence is super strong. She said congress should be forced to look at crime scene pics of the kids from sandy hook - then maybe they’d do basic reforms. #HarrisTownHall

Kamala is my #1 at the moment but I'm not afraid to admit she's flawed. It's just a huge field, filled with really, really flawed or weak candidates.

Is weak on crime a thing now? Still not sure how this resonates beyond the DSA types who literally advocate for abolishing the police. Remember most Americans support death penalty, in fact California even voted to expand it in 2016.

I don't think there is a candidate who is going to say crime shouldn't be punished and if one does end up saying that then they aren't going to get very far. Without handling crime there isn't much use for schools, especially in lower income areas with high crime. And one thing that should be noted is that Harris is against the death penalty which is something that she got a lot of complaints about as DA.

But willing to put people in jail is bad for the S-avatars. You need to address the root cause of the problem which is lack of quality education and poverty, which her plans would actually do. One issue is not a deal breaker for me and I wish people would realize that.

She was not mocking "schools not jails". She says she agrees with that in theory (which contemplates deterrence of future criminals), but that it doesn’t solve current criminal activity.
