It's sad, from what I can tell this is a more extreme case of what sort of behavior tends to happen when single parents get into relationships with immature ass morons who think they're still in high school.

I know lots of people personally who seem to think their partner (usually with no real job or ambition) who they've been with for a couple of months is more important than their child, and will let their new partner do whatever to their child, and blame the child for anything bad that happens while making endless excuses for their partner.

You can't act like you're a 16 year old in a high school relationship when you have a child you need to be taking care of.
