A good question to ask here, given the possibilities.

Impeached and removed, or just impeached?

I should have made this more clear looking back at it. I mean impeached and removed.

Just by declaring a state of emergency, no.  It would depend on what actions he took as a result.

It depends if he goes off the deep end in the days that follow. Convicted is quite unlikely, though.

Hopefully. Politics is getting boring these days.

No. There's already mechanisms in place for Congress to undo it, and if the Senate refuses to do that then it certainly won't impeach him.

For this to reach being something that could see Trump removed from office, Congress would have to revoke the state of emergency and Trump go ahead anyway.

Impeached? No. No real chance that leads to impeachment.

Leaving office via a very bad impression of Gene Kelly in Singin' In The Rain becomes more probable though, even if still not likely.

Trump is in WAY over his head as President. We all know that he doesn't think things through but acts in the spur of the moment. He's in love with his rotund "gut".

Declaring a state of emergency where the FACTS don't bear out the necessity for it, only his base will support this. They, evidently, have no need for facts, just big talk and delusions.

It will be a happy day when we get this idiot out of office. And Pence with him. Pence is a JOKE.

This so called base of Trump's needs to WAKE UP!

Trump will be indicted after he leaves office, the jury is out on whether to convict him or not and impeachment is really a grand jury indictment.

It depends upon the nature of the emergency. If it is the eruption of the Yellowstone caldera, it is legitimate. If it is over not achieving his political agenda, then he might find himself impeached -- by the Armed Forces, whose senior officers do not like him.

Note well that Franklin Delano Roosevelt did not declare any state of emergency after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Well, technically true, but he asked Congress to declare war on Japan, which they did.

Just wanted to emphasize that bit. It makes just a little difference.
