Mel Martinez. Best are Bob Graham and Lawton Chiles.

How can you evaluate the work of a senator who has not yet taken an oath and is still a governor?

An educated prediction. Once a fraud always a fraud.

So far in this poll, two literal segregationists have a combined 3 votes for "Worst Senator from Florida," a much, much smaller number compared to Mel Martinez's and Marco Rubio's combined 13. I guess I keep forgetting how much the (D) really goes a long way on this site.

To be fair, I don’t think the two segregationists were particularly known for their segregationism so it could have easily been overlooked.

I mean, the "since 1953" and (D) next to Southern senators' names are kind of giveaways when it comes to the possibility of segregationists being among the ranks.

People just know Rubio and modern politics better and that's why they vote Rubio because they now know that they don't like him while they've never actually experienced the political system of the 1950's and 1960's. That's why you have to take these kind of polls with a grain of salt.
