Hello Atlasia! I’m here tonight because for the past couple of years, we - the Atlasian government - have failed to live up to our obligations to our citizens.

When it comes to financial security, we are failing our citizens. Every month, more and more Atlasians are living paycheck to paycheck, and more families are having to worry about what they’re going to do if the next one never comes.

When the vast majority of our students are forced to take on crushing student loan debt in order to gain access to a quality education, we are failing our citizens.

When it comes to the infrastructure on which so many Atlasians depend on, we are failing our citizens. When our roads and bridges are on the verge of disrepair, our water and sewer systems broken down and inefficient, and our public schools - which we rely on to raise and educate our children - are run down and falling apart, we are failing all Atlasians.

This is why, today, we are offering you the Atlas Deal. We will work towards rebuilding our roads, our bridges, our trains, our airports, our waterways, our clean energy infrastructure, and our schools. We will fulfill our commitment to each and every one of you by rebuilding our vital infrastructure that we all rely on for our everyday needs. And, in doing so, we will also create millions of new jobs, vitality replenishing our economy. And we will make sure that every single one of these new jobs will provide - not just enough to live on, but enough to live with stability and security. Where you can go home every day not having to be continually worried about what might or might not happen tomorrow, but knowing that I’m going to be okay, that my family will be okay.

We must also continue to protect all Atlasian workers from the threat of financial instability by protecting their right to collectively bargain and by making sure that if they fall sick, and need treatment, they know that their families will be taken care of. And even as we stand against underpayment and mistreatment of Atlasian workers here at home, we must also ensure that they are not threatened by employers who underpay and mistreat their workers abroad.

Now, another issue that I know is on some people’s minds is our current deficit. And yes, it is a problem that needs to be addressed. However...there is a right and wrong way to deal with this. It is wrong to just start slashing vital programs, programs that we all rely on, in the name of reducing the deficit. Social Security, Atlascare, and our education and welfare programs must be protected. Using harsh austerity to reduce the deficit is a complete betrayal of our obligations to each and every Atlasian.

It is also our obligation - to ourselves as well as to our children, and their children, to make sure we protect our environment from existential threats such as climate change. This means that we need to implement environmental regulations here at home, while also making sure each of our trading partners abroad also commits to cutting emissions and becoming ecologically sustainable.

Finally, a promise. Activity is one of the most important qualities of a good administration, and both of our records show this will be an active administration. As the President Pro-Tempore, I have worked hard to get bills passed through the senate while also helping to facilitate operations within the administration as Deputy CoS. As the First Minister of Fremont, my running mate YE’s work has resulted in the Fremont Parliament being more active than ever. Our administration would be an active and open one, working to better the lives of all Atlasians.

The Atlas Deal:

✓ Improving and rebuilding our public schools
✓ Making college more affordable
✓ Reforming our healthcare system
✓ Rebuilding our roads, bridges, railroads, waterways, and airports
✓ Building a strong clean energy infrastructure
✓ Creating millions of jobs through these infrastructure efforts, and making sure each and every one of those jobs can provide stability and security for the families who depend on it
✓ Protecting Atlasian workers from exploitation both domestically and by producers abroad
✓ Lowering taxes on the lower and middle class, and small businesses
✓ Implementing a generally non-interventionist foreign policy
✓ Reducing the deficit through targeted defense spending cuts and making sure those at the top pay their fair share.
✓ Protecting Social Security, AtlasCare, and valuable education and welfare programs.
✓ Protecting the environment through regulations, incentives, and tax credits to promote renewable energy and environmentally friendly practices.
