Honestly, this is Taft's moment. Who else is going to be the R Nominee? Dewey? He lost four years ago, he'll lose again if the party is stupid enough to Nominate him. Stassen? Warren? Nobodies that the party has left behind. Taft is the strongest candidate considering his history and experience. Truman will stand no chance, especially if Taft nominates someone from New England. Lodge, perhaps?

Anyways, so Solid R it isn't even funny. unless Dewey gets the R Nom, then it's Lean D.
