As allowed in Article 10, Section 2 of the House of the Representatives Rules and Procedures for Operation, I am suspending the rules in Article 4, and holding a final vote on this bill immediately.

A final vote has begun on this bill and will last for 72 hours, or until all representatives have voted. Please vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.

I object to suspending the rules to force a final vote so quickly.

Let the LT shutdown begin, I guess.

It is sickening and sad that LT is hellbent on causing a government shutdown to happen to harm Atlasians, just like what is happening in real-life USA under Trump.

It's time to end the silly budgetary brinkmanship games being played by the rotten Federalists, and let's get this CR passed!!!!

This could have been all avoided if Labor hadn't been so lazy and decided to propose a proper budget in the first place. We need an actual budget and not a CR. That failure is 100% on labor.  Anyway I hope congress can actually take time to reform our government spending and come up with a balanced budget that is economically responsible.

It's too bad we have to play the blame game so hard that the government is being shut down. Not shutting down the government should be common sense, it doesn't help anyone.

I move to hold a vote on this. This is not controversial legislation at all?

Im planning on sending some more 2018 budget impacts ive been doing by hand to Encke tonight ... im pretty much done with all 2018  changes in spending and revenue although I just discovered today that apparently some Alzheimer's Registry bill that passed when I had to step back has major tax changes hidden in it so I have to analyze that now too. In all honesty a CR is probably the most prudent course of action and if we can get budget numbers out sooner yall can just modify the CR to terminate early.

We have had:

1. No GM numbers, and

2. No access to any progress made by previous administrations on the budget.

How are we supposed to craft a budget under those circumstances? Especially in the two months where people have the most IRL commitments to take care of?

Also, I can't even begin to describe the irony of the person whose resignation as Deputy GM caused the budget backlog in the first place now complaining about not having a budget.

Anyway once Encke is confirmed I think we can start to move on a budget pretty quickly.

If the WB adminstration cared, they could have gotten it done. Instead it took you guys nearly two months just to find an SOIA. I'm glad that WB is not running for reelection, he has failed Atlasia and Labor has better candidates.

There was no Deputy GM who actually did their job after you. And the lack of numbers is entirely the reason there hasn't been a budget. If we'd had them, we wouldn't have even needed the first CR during the Yankee admin, let alone this one.

That isn't my fault that my successors didn't do their job. I resigned because I didn't have time to do a complete job and couldn't work with Truman. It's not my belief that I should hold on to a title just to stroke my own ego. If Truman couldn't do it himself or find someone else that would do a good job that's on him.

North Carolina yankee himself urged the Senate to push the deadline to the end of February, I expressed my preference that it be done earlier but that isn't realistic for many reasons.

Also we can cut short the CR if we get the budget done early.

We aren't going to get any meaningful work done on the budget until Encke is confirmed and we can get numbers, and there won't be nearly enough time between then and Dec 31 to get an entire budget finished.
