Interesting article worth reading in full (it is not just about nukes, though of course nukes are important):

The Coming of Hyperwar: "Alexa, Launch Our Nukes!"

I am no expert in the AI field, but I think the most relevant part of 'hyperwar' is going to be the 'hype'.

As cyberwar - communications warfare - increases the ability to hand your forces over to AIs disappears, because your communications networks are under constant threat. AI assisted planning? Drones on the battlefield? Sure. But we're not going to see our Skynet vs. their Skynet, because the network won't. And I'm skeptical that AIs barely able to drive on roads are going to outfight anything run by a brain.
