Palin summarized her foreign policy experience in the famous phrase "I can see Russia from my house".

That was Tina Fey.

Do we debate though - is this staged to throw us off or is it a clue that Harris was the only one on there? It's hard not to get excited after seeing that.

Also, it's clear Biden doesn't hold the grudges. Dodd, however...

Harris having her own section looks way too intentional, and this seems like something that a campaign ran by Jen O'Malley Dillon would try to do.

yeah, but for someone as old as Biden, even though he's a veteran, how'd they know that photogs would get a shot of it? just seems too pre-planned that they couldn't count that Biden would definitely turn it over to get a shot of it?

are you trying to say it's too intentional so that Harris is not getting picked?

It would be intentional to try to build Harris up as the person who everyone thinks is the leader, meanwhile Joe ends up selecting Rice/Bass/Warren/Demings/etc; throwing some of Kamala's politics back in her face.

ah, i get it. you didn't like harris to begin with.

I mean, not ideally, no. I think she's better than Rice, but she's a disappointing candidate nonetheless. I've never hid my disliking of her lmao.

I think Harris having her on section and why is he’s not taking her and wants to deflect. But maybe not

Those speculating that the one debate clash he had with Harris completely ruined her chances clearly know nothing about Biden.

He is not a man who holds grudges. Besides, he literally attacked Obama for being too inexperienced in '08, stood by the comments in a debate, and still ended up being his running mate.

If he truly didn't like Harris, she wouldn't even be under consideration, let alone be in the top tier of his veepstakes.

I want a Biden/whoever hoodie. He didn't come out with any during the primaries, but, I'm really hoping they release one.

He had a section on Harris because she’s a leading candidate for VP and in case a reporter says “you’re looking into choosing Harris but you and her had tension at the debate last year”.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I think he was anticipating the Dodd question. It didn’t really have anything to do with his ultimate choice. Because everything on there is a potential question. Harris, his plan for the last hundred days, VP etc.

I feel there’s still a major 3rd option other than Harris and Rice and we’ll get a major article from a national publication this weekend.

This is like Biblical scholars deep-diving into fragments of papyrus to determine the exact date of the Gospel of Mark.

Interestingly, right after the leak came out, Kamala Harris skyrocketed on the PredictIt betting odds, going from 36 (below Susan Rice who was at 39 at the time) to 56 now. That's double what Susan Rice's price is right now which is 27. Everyone else is single digits.

If his choice isn't Kamala Harris, I'll be very surprised.

Yes, because they’re doing the same thing we’re doing and overreacting to every little tidbit. Betting markets are no smarter than the collective, and sometimes even less smart.

For that moment when I saw the notes and assumed it *was* Harris, I felt pretty neutral/good about it. 2020 is about leaning into the pitch-black inevitability of things!

Endorse this post if you think the notes photo makes it more likely that Harris is the VP.

I am honestly think it’s neither. I don’t think it had anything to do with his VP thinking

For all of the VP talk and how important it would be, the GOP has s**t in the bed so much the past 3 months that it is debatable if it matters.

Maybe Rice implying she would not run in 2024 or 2028 could be okay, leave the future up to the party's voters.

Even as someone who dislikes Rice as a VP candidate, if she came out and promised that she wouldn't run in '24, I'd feel more at-ease about Joe running with her.

It's the potential for President Susan Rice which worries me.
