I think you two should get a hotel room. Take a bottle of cheap champagne and a box of chocolate with you. Then get busy with the business, come back, and chill out.

It's times like these I wish we had a laugh react here.

Seems like Chris Cilizza had discontinued his weekly "The Top 10 women Joe Biden might pick as vice president" series.

She is  a smart woman but it's just different being the candidate. Someone like Demings, Harris and Duckworth have gone through this.

Duckworth and Demings haven’t been through anything similar to this, especially 1.5 term backbencher congresswoman Demings. Harris has been vetted nationally and been through the wringer. The same with Warren.

Those two are the only ones we know can hold up under pressure. Everyone else is a risk.

I am saying elected office in general. Duckworth and Demings have been the candidate themselves, not Rice.

Is the VP announcement still slated for the end of July?

No, early August. Not a specific date, but early August. That's what he said in the press conference last week.

No, Biden's already suggested that deadline will likely slip. I probably wouldn't expect Biden to name the pick until the few days before the DNC, which would be a more traditional time to name the pick & would avoid giving Trump an extra target in the intervening weeks.

Yeah, it makes sense to wait until 2-3 days before the convention. This person could easily be a target for both the far left and Trump.

Yep.  You announce right before the convention.  Don't give the extremists in the party time to find a reason to hate the VP and coalesce around a set of talking points.  Otherwise, that will be the story the media latches onto.  The convention will drown it out.

You underestimate our talents! I can confirm that the CEO of Bernie Sanders has prepped our talking points for every possible VP nominee. The twitter drafts are all set to post as soon as the pick is announced.

Sources of mine within the Bernie Brotherhood (who can't be named for fear of Death by Cancellation) have confirmed that tens of antifa deathsquads are readying their armour-piercing emojis at this very minute.

Tucker is apparently doubling down tonight.

Which, gross, but also, not shocking.

Duckworth seriously triggered Tucker Carlson. He went completely off the rails tonight... even insinuating that she isn't a real veteran.

Yeah, I'm team Tammy Duckworth now.

Anyone who can make Tucker Carlson all hot and heavy, eyes bulging, veins popping out on live TV has my support!

I already thought Duckworth would be a good candidate, but now I really hope she gets it if only to make Tucker lose it for the rest of the campaign.
