Honestly, I don't want Hickenlooper to run. I'd rather have a more progressive Democrat replace Gardner.

I don't want Democrats having to invest a lot of resources in Colorado that could be used elsewhere. If Hick can wrap this race up early, I want him in.

Resources are literally the last of our problems as Democrats, we've been outraising the Republicans like crazy even after the 2018 elections.

A top-tier recruit strong candidate John Hickenlooper entry would move the Colorado Senate race from Lean R to Pure Tossup, with the popular Democratic governor single-handedly turning a likely snoozefest in which the incumbent Republican had been heavily favored against a weak Democratic field crowded with underwhelming C-listers into the most competitive marquee contest of the cycle which will now likely pit a formidable Democratic recruit against a skilled and battle-tested Republican incumbent. In the meantime, Alabama Republicans are still in search of a credible candidate who could pose a serious threat to Democratic Senator Doug Jones' reelection bid in a Senate race which privately has top Republicans seriously worried.

Who gave SNJC a gig as a writer?

https://www.coloradopols.com/diary/125384/hick4senate-new-domains-signal-big-moves-in-senate-race

Hickenlooper vs Gardner “Marquee Matchup” lmao

Hick would shove the matchup in Gardner’s marquee 52-44.

I'm kind of skeptical Hickenlooper wins the primary in the end. He has SO MANY QUOTES bashing the Senate and saying he's not equipped to be 1 in 100. It's an attack ad waiting to be made.

Hickenlooper helps Dems, he secures CO, Dems can focus on KS, AZ, NC, ME, and Mues from Mnt seems like a good candidate, we have to see..

Hickenlooper is in the same age bracket as Mark Kelly

Hickenlooper would easily win this, and it wouldn't be particularly close. I can easily see Gardner lose by double digits if Hickenlooper is nominated.

Hickenlooper or Romanoff would win it by 4 points

Romanoff and Johnson would win by 3-6

Hickenlooper would win by 9-13, maybe more

I don't think CO has ever had a female Senator so EMILY's List is definitely going big here they were ready to go big for Duran but she passed on it.

As of 2019, there are eighteen states that have never had one. There's no guarantee that Jena Griswold is going to jump into the Senate race in Colorado.

If Hick jumped in for senate, it would be among the races I'd be most enthusiastic about from a pick of many races across the country.

lmao

Anyway, I'm ambivalent about Hick. His moderate hero presidential campaign has been utterly nauseating, but on the other hand his entry would seal Gardner's fate early and completely take the race off the board.

I'm not keen on Hickenlooper. This is one state where Democrats can afford to choose a left-leaning candidate, instead of a moderate hero that will act as a collaborator in passing abhorrent policies under McConnell's leadership. Unfortunately, Hickenlooper could turn out to be the favorite should he run (although I'm not ruling out the possibility that his presidential run would damage him among segments of the Democratic base).

Griswold out. Which basically confirms she knows someone else strong is going to clean up the race, AKA Hickonlooper

why not? He is a bit moderate for my tastes, but on the other hand, he would clean up in a general, more so than the others running as of now. Remember that he won by 4 as Gardner won by 2.

We can literally do so much better than "moderate" "centrist" "bipartisan" Hickenlooper. Romanoff, Baer, or any of the rest would be so much better than him and the race is Safe D anyway. I hope Hickenlooper's ego keeps him in the presidential race.

Yes, but if we get a trifecta we need to pass a Green New Deal to save the planet. Do you think Hickenlooper would support that? For goodness' sake, he thinks McConnell can be negotiated with.
