As of 2019, there are eighteen states that have never had one. There's no guarantee that Jena Griswold is going to jump into the Senate race in Colorado.

Anyway, I'm ambivalent about Hick. His moderate hero presidential campaign has been utterly nauseating, but on the other hand his entry would seal Gardner's fate early and completely take the race off the board.

This is one state where Democrats can afford to choose a left-leaning candidate, instead of a moderate hero that will act as a collaborator in passing abhorrent policies under McConnell's leadership. Unfortunately, Hickenlooper could turn out to be the favorite should he run (although I'm not ruling out the possibility that his presidential run would damage him among segments of the Democratic base).

We can literally do so much better than "moderate" "centrist" "bipartisan" Hickenlooper. Romanoff, Baer, or any of the rest would be so much better than him and the race is Safe D anyway. I hope Hickenlooper's ego keeps him in the presidential race.
