At this point I think I'm just gonna drop out. It's a vanity run at this point and has been ever since I found out write-ins weren't allowed in the primary.

Map of the SC-03 Dem primary by precinct.

Interactive Map

Hosea Cleveland
Mark Welch
Tie

I might make one for SC-01 R. Nancy Mace won by a little over 57%.

Also, Graham won his primary by a smaller margin than I expected. He even got below 50% in Greenville and Spartanburg counties.

As promised, the SC-01 R primary:

Interactive Map

State Rep. Nancy Mace: 57.5%
Mount Pleasant Councilwoman Kathy Landing: 25.9%
Bikers for Trump Founder Chris Cox: 9.7%
Bluffton Housing Official Brad Mole: 6.9%

Interesting notes:
-Despite being in 2nd, Landing only won 1 precinct in her home city. The rest were in Beaufort.

-The precinct that Mole won had Mace all the way in 3rd place, behind Mole and Landing. Mole also came in 3rd in his home county of Beaufort, narrowly ahead of Cox, despite the fact that all Cox-won precincts were in Beaufort.

After much contemplation I've decided to exit the SC03 race. To continue further would just be a vanity run and create a mockery of the democratic process. We need a united opposition to @RepJeffDuncan.

I thank everyone who supported me through this campaign. Each and every one of you has bolstered my hopes for the people of this district.

and don't worry, I'll still be here, dunkin' on Duncan.

Thank you all.

look I'm not even gonna be living in the district by the time the election happens, it doesn't make sense to continue on some dumbass writein campaign. The whole reason I started it was because Duncan had no challengers at the time (Mid-February), I almost dropped out when someone finally declared.

Have you decided to stay in by the way?
Yes. while write ins aren't allowed in the primary, I will continue to the general. I'm voting for Welch in the primary (the other guy, Cleveland, is very moderate afaik) but my goal is to get 3rd place since there's no other party running a candidate. The American Party had a candidate last time but not this time last time I checked.

After the last election, the American Party merged with some similarly insignificant moderate hero parties in other states to form the Alliance Party.

Not only that, but she also went to vote wearing no mask and had a party where there was no social distancing or precautions taken at all. I'm glad she's contributing to Charleston's spike in virus cases.

Harrison raised $13.9M in the 2Q.

You know what, might as well go all out in this race. Who knows.

That's Presidential candidate money. Good for him. I'd rather make the RNC spend money on a race that should be safe.

He's not though. Sure, he has a high chance of winning, but I don't think people are really grasping that this year could be very surprising in different races, and if Biden has a 10 point advantage, all bets are off, even for people like Lindsey Graham.

If anything, if this is another "Dem wave year", it will be good to see how far a good candidate (Harrison) can actually get in SC.

This is a stretch but it’s better than KY. I’m sure Harrison is spending tons on converting white suburbanites and finding disaffected Black votes throughout the countryside and in Columbia/Charleston.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/506148-graham-challenger-harrison-raises-record-shattering-139-million-for-sc

Quote
Democratic Senate candidate Jaime Harrison's campaign to unseat Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) in South Carolina pulled in nearly $14 million in the second quarter of the year, setting a statewide fundraising record in the process.

Harrison’s campaign said on Tuesday that it had raised more than $13.9 million in the period covering April through June, nearly doubling its first-quarter fundraising haul of $7.4 million and marking the second consecutive quarter in which Harrison has set a quarterly record in South Carolina.

If Harrison can keep this fundraising up, he might be able to pull this off.

So you’re saying that SC, IA, and CO aren’t going to be the tipping-point races in the Senate this year?

I’ve been noticing a lot of ads by Harrison’s team attacking Graham from the right, with Carlson and Gorka saying he isn’t doing anything. Actually a good strategy. Lots of Rs voted for a hard-right challenger. If Harrison can persuade them to not vote at all, then he actually has a chance. I don’t see it happen though

In rural white areas, perhaps a PAC by Harrison could attack Graham for "being gay".
