https://www.politico.com/election-results/2018/west-virginia/

WV02 is the least trumpy district in WV
It only voted for him by a "mere" 36 points.
It includes Charleston WV and also the panhandle of WV which are the DC exurbs.
Say if Ojeda's senate district was from here and he ran here against the carpetbagger mooney how would he have done?

Mooney is a under performer only paralleled by Mia love on the GOP. he only won by 12 points against Hillary Clinton's campaign manager in WV.

I say he would have lost it by maybe 7 points? Despite his double blowout his performance was still impressive in retrospect.

He would have won against Mooney for sure. He almost lost in 2014, an R wave year!!!!!!! Slightly overperforming with Demosaurs + Really strong performance in the panhandle.

Nah, he might’ve lost by high single digits because he was much better funded than Sergent, but even Mooney was a better candidate than Miller, who blew Ojeda away at the end of the day.

Mooney weirdly underperforms since he is a carpetbagger so hard to say.

It doesn’t include the panhandle.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Virginia%27s_2nd_congressional_district

yeah it does. It streches from Charleston metro to the EASTERN panhandle not the northwestern one. The eastern panhandle is the DC exurbs while NW one is even more rural and Pittsburgh based.
