Janet Jackson is a pop sensation who had a long career. The youngest of nine children, she is the second one that could truly be called a superstar. However, her career was ruined thanks to an incident at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. One of-but not the-biggest hitmakers not in the Rock Hall.

Meh. Led the way with Madonna among early 80s young pop starlets Crossing into a territory where ones personal trainer Mama choreographer, and public relations specialist has more to do with one professional success than ones Talent as a singer / musician. Surely there's always been some of that aspect in pop music, right back to The Fab Four, Elvis, and Sinatra. But things very much changed for the worse with the Advent of music developing for music videos rather than the other way around.
