Ya i'm running to finish Defarges term,it is time for a true progressive to represent the people of District 1.
The usual crowd will flame me but i do not care i am tired of watching the interests of the progressive leaning people be ignored in the senate, not only the ones in district one but all throughout the nation.
We have watched long enough as almost every decent piece of legislation ever passed by the first two senates has been thrown away like so much garbage by the group that has been running things for far too long.
The Northeast needs a voice in the senate that has no problem doing the right thing no matter if it is popular with the party bosses or cliques that seem to be in charge now.
Anyone who has watched me operate in the senate knows full well that i always have and always will do what is right not what is popular.
President elect Joe Republic needs all of the help he can get in the senate not just a rubber stamp for the right wing of Atlasia.
As most of you know i will be leaving politics for good when i have my baby so this is a great opportunity to send someone to the senate who's only agenda is what is right for District 1.

Good luck, Texasgurl. You have my full support and endorsement. I encourage all left leaning people to first preference texasgurl, and second preference Ben Meyers.

I've served in the senate with Texasgurl before, and it would be a pleasure to do so again. She's smart, thoughtful and tough, and whilst our politics don't always mett, I fully endorse her in this election.

Reading some of my opponents posts i noticed something.
1) Tweed says you should vote for him because he has been here the longest time.
2) FezzyFestoon says you should vote for him because he has been here the least amount of time.
That is nice and all but i think you should vote for me because i care about the issues that matter to the voters of District 1.

Let's keep it civil, shall we? I am sure all the candidates have their ideas of electoral reform, and I am sure Texasgurl does as well. Give her time.

Hrm.
Same old same old huh?
So we should elect yet another right wing zealot to the senate?
That may play very well in the southeast but here i don't think i'm the one out of touch.

Didn't take you long to start the attacks.

I do not think my comments could be concieved as attacks, merely a refutal of your claim that I do not care about the real issues.  This should not be an election of sneaky manipulation of the voters by convincing them I'm a mean person or something, it should be an election of the real issues and if my clarification of my goals and views are seen as attacks, so be it.  The people of this district are far more important than my image.
I never said you didn't care about issues.
Nice of you take me out of context though.

You keep using the word "change" yet electing you would simply make the senate even more right wing and nothing would change.

District one does not need just another rubber stamp for the conservative agenda.

Yet again I emphasise that my political ideology plays no role in decisions and votes I would make in the senate.  As far as change is concerned, I will not make decisions based on parties or relationships with other people as has been so common of senators in the past.
Oh please give me a break.
