For those who don't know, AMI is the company that owns the National Enquirer.

The presidential candidate refered to in this article is obviously Crooked Hillary. Lock her up!

The words "it is possible that" make this a largely meaningless statement by Davis.

3 years is a substantial amount of time for a first offender on this sort of nonviolent crime. Cohen's not getting off easy. Won't be eligible for early release for 2 1/2 years.

Has to report to prison in March.

In a federal case? Not really. I'm surprised it was that low.

It will all come out in time. And many people will go to prison.

White collar offenders get very long time, even for first offenses, if they are involved in criminal enterprises or have committed multiple crimes. Thus Madoff. Many of the federal non-violent offenders have done large-scale frauds -- and those often involve mail fraud or wire fraud. It is hard to commit a large-scale financial crime without committing either mail  fraud (soliciting fraudulent transactions by mail, or getting payments by mail) or wire fraud (using broadcast media or the Internet to solicit dishonest business). Getting funds by check  or credit card typically imply wire fraud because most transactions involving a check or credit card imply a wire transfer of funds at some point.

The feds treat mail fraud and wire fraud with great seriousness.

Mike Pence was chairman of the inaugural committee. As Spiro Agnew learned, yes the VP can be indicted. I would love to see a sitting VP get indicted. Maybe Pence could cooperate with the feds against Trump?

Aha, the Grand Plan is revealed!  Pence gets indicted and has to resign.  Trump never nominates a new VP.  Then no matter how bad it gets, he'll know the Senate Republicans would never vote to remove him and create President Pelosi!  Ingenious!

(Lest anyone think this is serious...it's not.)

That was never tested. He literally resigned from the Vice Presidency in the courthouse about 10 minutes before pleading guilty, as part of a pre-negotiated deal. So he was indicted and pleaded guilty as a private citizen, minutes after ceasing to be Vice President.

My father knew a guy who got 18 years for stealing at least two million dollars (maybe much more) through a Ponzi scheme. It was crazy. Some Egyptian Psychiatrist named Hamdi or something like that did it.

Rudy offers a compromise for having Trump sit down with Mueller

Giuliani: Trump will only sit for interview with Mueller ‘over my dead body’

Unorthodox, but sounds acceptable to me.

Trump could shoot him on Fifth Avenue and we'd test two adages in one go!

Next, Trump will offer the House a deal whereby they can have his tax returns if they pull them out of his cold, dead hands.

Personally to me, Trump's decades-long Money Laundering schemes looks like a bigger egg to fry than the Russian Collusion Investigation against him instead. Good on Schiff and Letitia James in New York for finally looking into this long con.

Bookies' odds of Trump being impeached surge to 56% probability, or "more likely than not" for the first time.

They're not really separate.

Trump's oldest son said a decade ago that a lot of the family's assets came from Russia
