I think he gets undeserved hate from many users here. He is open and authentic about being a slimeball.

It was funny seeing him, an especially bad fit and objectionable candidate, defeat Bruce Rauner in DuPage County.... Rauner's base.

But on some policy I obviously disagree with Pritzker. Like I would nearly abolish property taxes in Illinois and remove most regulations and have different minimum wages for Chicagoland and fake Illinois. Basically I would make it one of the most pro-business climates to stop the population bleeding.

I am in the "Show me the results" phase. I didn't vote for him in the primary but did in the general. I was skeptical due to his ties to Madigan and his history with big money politics, but he does have a pretty progressive track record going back through the decades.

I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.

He's a parody of a Illinois Politician- tax cheat, big donor who indulges in philanthropy, and enjoys rubbing up with the powerful. His saving grace was that he was too rich to be corruptible- but seeing that he got rid of a toilet to avoid tax, I'd be unsure about whether he'll defy the Illinois Governors curse.

But yes- you're probably the only person who likes him. A large part of politics is eating sh**t, and voting for people you dislike or despise for ideological reasons.
