Seeing as I've become a Senator pretty suddenly and probably just for a week, I'd like to know some of this stuff that I'd mostly lost count of in the last 8 months...
Such as, can I vote in votes that were open at the time I took the oath of office?
What *exactly* are the rules on bill introduction etc?

I've found some info in the Government headquarters - the bill introduction question is answered, I guess - but I still have questions.

You can vote in votes that were already open when you came in. That being said you should go vote on that amendment. Smiley

Its not on the Wiki for reasons that I'm not entirely sure on - probably because the Wiki wasn't around when it was originally passed and then amended.

I guess I should probably add it to the new Wiki.

It was on the old Wiki, however, guess it never got transferred.

I believe so.

Write a bill with suitably precise legal language, give it a name, and post it to the legislation introduction thread.  That's pretty much all you have to do.

Gabu is essentially correct.  I should add something, however.

Considering that your term only lasts for one week, if you write a bill that you wish to see voted on in front of the Senate, I would suggest to get someone else to co-sponsor it with you, so that person can reintroduce the legislation for next session.

You will lose your power to vote on it, but this guarantees the right to debate and eventual vote on the legislation.

Update:

I am now working on cleaning up the Wiki so that Senate Resolutions, including the OSPR will be represented on the database.

I have now included the Current Rules, Regulations and Procedures of the Senate on the Wiki page at this link:

https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Current_Senate_Rules,_Regulations,_and_Procedures

If Emsworth would like to put this on the Senate Notice Board, etc. for easy perusal, feel free.
