It would be nice to hear something more tangible than "irregularities". It'd have to be something pretty big to overcome a 2000-vote lead.

Wasn't it more like 900?

905 actually. At least according to the Charlotte Observer article links by Virginia.

At any rate, somehow getting that election result reverse would be awesome considering that, amongst Louvre Trump supporting one of these, Mark Harris is almost without question the worst new Republican elected to congress this year. He will quickly rise, or rather to send, to the ranks of folks like Steve King, Louie gohmert, Etc.

It would be cool, but 900 votes is still a big lead in a congressional election.

Anyway, yeah, weren't we supposed to get a King County dump today?

Seriously, not one of local or national journalists and pundits has picked up the phone to ask somebody in Kings IF there are any ballots left?
That seems like journalistic malpractice to me.

Is there a chance at a new election in that NC district?

Is there a chance at a new election in that NC district?

Hard to say. The nature and extent of the problems is not well known right now, other than that it originates in Bladen County I guess?

I bet the General Assembly would immediately pass a bill (within a day or two) to take the power away the power to call a new election from election boards, or to require bipartisan support. No guarantee it holds up in court, but still.

Wasn't the decision not to certify 9-0?

Not all the election boards are as partisan as the GA, which is arguably one of the most partisan legislative bodies in the entire country. Also that was only to delay the certification while they investigate and/or deliberate the issue further. It could end up going a different way when it comes time to actually do something besides stall.

That certainly looks strange enough to warrant further investigation.

This is starting to sound like hints of election fraud in Bladen County - and maybe not only this year, but also in 2016 (but was not followed up on in 2016 because it didn't make a difference in any race).

Based on what? That you don't want to get your hopes up? That you want to appear moderate and reasonable to both sides?

You have a better view of this than the NC State Board of Elections, one of whom said that strange things have been going on in Bladen County for a number of years?
