She died as a result of being stuck half way in and upside down in the clothes chute.

I don't see how you can't notice it, so that's why I think this is a "conspiracy." Maybe it wasn't noticed by some olds though. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

NSW is flooded. This is the second flooding this year, to my knowledge, and I don't see these not happening more and more. I don't know how Australia is going to, essentially, forcibly relocate all the buildings and infrastructure further inland, but the very thought sounds like a logistical nightmare for everyone involved. Which of course would be the entire country. Does Australia have any useful barriers?

Moving further inland wouldn't be the goal, moving river towns like Lismore out of the flood plains and up on the hills would be. I've got family up in the Northern Rivers and some of the scenes have been horrendous, something's definitely got to be done about Lismore, Coraki and Woodburn.
