Basically just allows us to assist states affected by Hurricane Florence, in which estimates have suggested that these areas are looking at $44 billion in damages, mostly due to flooding in areas where residents also face not having flood insurance.

I'd like to think it's pretty straightforward, but I'll leave this up until tomorrow night before motioning to waive the 72 hour rule and proceeding to a vote.

I encourage the members to review carefully and support this legislation. If more funds are required there will likely be a second bill dealing with the other storm as well, so I would encourage people to refrain from opposing this on that grounds.

Nice to see that you got inspired by my Hurricane Harvey Relief Act from last year. Wink

thirded. We need to make sure those who were affected by this disaster can get back on their feet sooner. If additional funds are needed, I think they should be provided ASAP, but as of now it seems like this will be enough, as long as the Southern Region makes up the other half.

This has enough votes to pass. Representatives have 24 hours to change their votes. The vote is originally slated to end early AM on the 2nd, but if we can get the last two folks in here by tomorrow I'll close it then.
